“Alleyway in Lukang Township, Taiwan” (2010)

$0.00

Acrylic on canvas 85cm x 60cm

Lukang Township, Changhua County, Taiwan 鹿港鄉, 彰化縣, 台灣. The red-brick streets of the Lukang Old Street area are lined with traditional buildings and snack shops. The grand Lukang Longshan Temple 鹿港龍山寺, which dates back to the 17th century, features carved dragon poles and garden courtyards. This particular narrow alleyway was typical of the layout found in the area, definitely made for pedestrian traffic, or the ubiquitous Taiwanese scooter.
